Biomaterials Company

Client is a leader in the biomaterials company industry revolutionary silver-fiber technology. However, innovations extend far beyond the realm of athletic and cleaning fabrics.

Biomaterials embarked on a mission to combat the persistent problem of smelly hiking and skiing sock liners. The company’s journey began with a sharp focus on marketing its silver fiber technology, which boasted remarkable antimicrobial properties. Little did they know, this pioneering start would blossom into a global powerhouse, becoming the go-to source for life-sustaining technology, medical components, and antimicrobial products, not only for the U.S. military but also the healthcare industry.

As an FDA-registered medical device manufacturing facility, Our client biomaterials company boasts a plethora of 510(k) medical device clearances and a string of EPA-approved antimicrobial products. Their extensive product line now graces the halls of hospitals, burn care centers, military bases, and U.S. embassies worldwide.

However, with growth came challenges, and one of the critical issues they faced was the need for a unified, singular source of truth to streamline their operations. Initially, their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system was predominantly used for financial and accounting management. But the leadership at Noble sought a comprehensive solution to synchronize their company-wide processes, from sales forecasting, maintenance planning, quality management, to fixed asset management. They also aimed to bid farewell to the outdated manual, paper-based approaches for project management and collaboration

The Chief Financial Officer at Our client biomaterials company, candidly noted that over the years, they had resorted to various third-party solutions and clunky spreadsheets to maintain order. The management, however, grew skeptical about the reliability of the manufacturing data emanating from these disparate solutions. They recognized the pressing need for a fix.

Our client biomaterials company ultimately implemented Microsoft dynamics erp in the cloud, which offered a flexible, role-based user experience. The QAD Production Execution solution became the missing puzzle piece, providing real-time operational data from the shop floor. This empowered them with invaluable tools for decision-making, real-time data, and a higher degree of accuracy throughout their manufacturing processes.

This strategic move provided them with a comprehensive solution that covered discrete sales, requisition-to-purchase-orders, Fixed Assets, Return Material Authorizations, and even introduced a “Rolling Sales Forecast” Enterprise Platform app. QAD Production Execution brought a slew of benefits, such as an intuitive, operator-centric interface, full time-stamped data capture, enhanced collaboration between planning and operations, and adaptability to specific production environments.

Furthermore, by adopting QAD Automation Solutions, they’ve streamlined their shipping-to-invoicing process, waving goodbye to labor-intensive paper-based procedures. With Microsoft dynamics erp, they were even able to replace a third-party sales forecast management application with more reliable data. Altogether, this transition helped our client biomaterials company reduce their dependence on third-party customizations by a remarkable 80%.
